Director of Psychiatry – Central New York Psychiatric Center 

Job Summary

Central New York Psychiatric Center (CNYPC) is seeking a leader to join our team as the supervising psychiatrist at our inpatient forensic hospital in Marcy, NY, located between Syracuse and Albany. This is a full-time opportunity to oversee an excellent team of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners delivering care through a multidisciplinary model. CNYPC is a dynamic organization that provides comprehensive, evidence-based mental health services through a continuum of care for patients involved in the justice system and is accredited through the Joint Commission.

The Psychiatrist 3 works in concert with program unit mangers and nursing leadership to lead local quality improvement and program development, in addition to direct on-site clinical work and supervision of the treatment team. Teams work together to provide compassionate care to our patients and their families. Specialty services include competency restoration, jail and prison patients who require acute stabilization and treatment, and a sex offender treatment program. Prior forensic experience is beneficial but not required.
